Gale Fire Blade Barbarian: Boss Damage and Energy Rotation

A boss-specific Fire Blade analysis: Gale amplification, Felling levels, Ultimate versus Core affixes, energy recovery and Vulnerability uptime.

Dated Chinese-server findings; global behavior and English names unverified.

Source: 邪神攻略站, October 10, 2026 at 10:29 as displayed in the saved page (timezone not stated). Original article. Edited for this site on October 12, 2026.

Scope: Dated Chinese-server observations and source-author recommendations, not independently tested here. Overseas-server behavior and official English names remain unverified. English names are provisional; Chinese identifiers are retained for matching.

Boss damage is the scope of the ranking

The source reports a 90-second dummy result about 2× Holy Silver Thorns Archer and 4× Cursed Spirit Fire Eye Mage after adding Gale Imprint (狂风刻印). It calls Fire Blade the top boss setup, but also says Rift performance is weaker because small-enemy progress can lag. These are comparisons between the author’s builds, not a verified all-server ranking.

The author describes Fire Blade and Fire Eye as scaling through critical damage × DoT, and Thorns through critical damage × Thorns damage. They emphasize the Barbarian passive Felling (砍倒) against bosses: their illustrative 3× benefit becomes 3 × 3 = 9× against a boss. The actual saved table gives 7.6× total at level 70, not 9× at level 70. The 3× example and table values should not be conflated.

Felling table from the source

LevelBoss total multiplierNon-boss / execute columnBattle Courage, 8 stacks

102.91.71.8
203.51.8752.0
304.22.052.2
405.02.2252.4
505.82.42.6
606.62.5752.8
707.62.753.0
808.62.9253.2
909.63.13.4
10010.73.2753.6

These are the source’s rounded totals, not independently recomputed formulas. It says Felling is active for only the first 70% of enemy health in Rifts, whereas the boss encounter keeps it active throughout; this is why it favors Battle Courage (越战越勇) in Rifts.

Why Ultimate-damage rolls win this example

The author estimates Core Skill coefficient at 600%, Ultimate Shattering Penetration (破碎穿透) at 1,350%, and 80 Core casts / 20 Ultimate casts in 90 seconds with the Divine Punishment set. An Ultimate-damage roll is described as twice the size of a Core-damage roll. Comparing only incremental Wound generation:

  • Core roll: 1 × 600 × 4 = 2,400.
  • Ultimate roll: 2 × 1,350 × 1 = 2,700.

This supports Ultimate rolls for that rotation, not every cast ratio. Existing bonus totals and all combat conditions are not modeled.

Keep energy and Vulnerability cycling

Max the Ultimate energy-recovery affix and use the energy-recovery ring, not the Charge ring. The source says insufficient recovery prevents the Ultimate from reaching full energy, leaving repeated Core casts and no Basic Skill window to refresh Vulnerability. Recovery quickly reaches 100 energy, Divine Punishment empties it, and Basic casts can refresh Vulnerability.

With enough Luck, the author describes Unyielding Self (不屈本我) as a consistently available 1.6× benefit, preferred to Earth-Splitting Slash (裂斩大地) at 1.25×. This is conditional on their proc assumptions.

Offerings prioritize critical damage/DoT, then additional damage. The body uses both 破碎穿透 and 破伤穿透 for the Ultimate cooldown target; the pictured skill is 破碎穿透, retained here without assuming an official English name. Do not transfer the boss-only disregard for survival to ordinary Rift runs.

Build-sheet details and saved evidence

Skills: Wounding–Shatter (破伤·粉碎), Merciless Reap–Fire Blade (无情收割·炎刃), Brave Charge–Tailwind (奋勇冲锋·顺势), Battle Roar–Rupture (决战咆哮·破势), Shattering Penetration–Surge (破碎穿透·涌动). Passives: Felling, Rising Fury (怒意高涨), Ancient Spirit Power (远古灵之力), Battle Courage. Warlord two-piece: Merciless Reap +80% and DoT +80%. Divine Punishment (天罚) consumes at least 100 energy to gain 80% haste and 40% Luck for 4 seconds, with 240% damage amplification against bosses during that state in the pictured weapon text.

Other pictured items: Broken Ancestor Soul head (残碎祖魂), Horned Warrior’s Fury gloves (角斗士的凶狂), Horned Warrior’s Chaos pants (角斗士的混袭), Sandflame Survival bracers (砂噬的存续), Champion Might belt (冠军威能), Demon-Treasury boots (镇魔财敛), Black Obsidian Pierce necklace (黑曜穿刺), Unyielding Self talisman and Dragon Legacy ring (巨龙遗藏). The belt lists 30% DoT resistance reduction, up to 3 stacks for 6 seconds; the necklace has a 45% chance on Core cast to reduce the Ultimate’s remaining cooldown by 2 seconds. Gale Slash, Black Hole control, Fortification, Frenzy and Rainbow Drain are pictured, with lightning/flame resonance and Demon Egg main.
