A small match sample, not a universal win rate
The August 28 source describes an earlier Thorns slow-build demonstration against an opponent 20,000 combat-power units higher. In a later 58 versus 62 comparison, it reports one loss in four matches. The shorthand power scale is not fully defined. This is a small personal sample, not evidence of a universal 75% win rate. The 17-second demo video was not saved; only its accompanying text and build screenshots are available.
The proposed framework is slow components + slow resistance + Spell Counter (法术反制) + Devour Heaven and Earth / Omnipotence / Bone Shatter (吞食天地 / 全能 / 碎骨) + Anat (安娜特) + 12 lightning/earth resonance. It is presented as usable across all three classes.
Class-specific versions
| Class | Source’s preferred version | Specific reasons / limits |
|---|---|---|
| Archer | Thorns slow build | Uses the earlier Thorns/Spell Counter guide; bottom-right imprint can change to Bone Shatter |
| Barbarian | Lightning Blade | Paishan (排山) supplies control/slow; Yang Zhi (杨志) supplies 100% stun resistance and 50% slow resistance, so another 50% slow resistance is the target |
| Barbarian alternative | Four-piece Ice Hammer | Source says 70% haste reduction and 90% movement reduction, but invites further development rather than reporting a full tested build |
| Mage | Iceflame | Six-piece armor, Holy Shield belt and Blink ring for survival; End Talisman (终焉护符) reduces Control cooldown, allowing more frequent Spell Counter |
The author calls Mage particularly suited to Spell Counter and says 100% Spell Counter with the talisman can largely restrict enemies to Basic/Core attacks. They describe pure slow as a counter to Spell Counter, and 100% slow resistance as a counter to pure slow. These are the author’s matchup claims, not a confirmed immunity or lockout guarantee on every server.
Affix order and cooldown arithmetic
Max Spell Counter and energy recovery. Defensive priorities are slow resistance, regeneration per second, block value. Target 100% slow resistance, even sacrificing some offense when facing pure slow. Flash of Insight can be omitted with 12-earth in this recommendation.
- Gloves/belt: Control cooldown reduction > energy recovery.
- Boots/pants: Spell Counter > Control cooldown reduction.
- Take as much relevant cooldown reduction as useful, without exceeding the stated cap.
The source gives a 60% initial cooldown-reduction cap, with 10% Paragon, 25% Barbarian Spirit Ultimate cooldown reduction for the Barbarian and 15% Spell Calling for Mage. It says these add together for the relevant skill and should not exceed 60%. They are class/skill-specific contributions, not a reason to add both classes’ passives to one character.
The screenshots identify complete loadouts by icons, without naming every component in the accompanying text. They are preserved as visual references; unidentified icons have not been assigned invented item names. Use the class-specific textual targets above and test your opening cast order and energy uptime.
Build-sheet details and saved evidence
Three saved loadout screens are labeled Thorns PvP, Lightning Blade PvP and Iceflame PvP. They show distinct skill/gear arrangements, with the first using a Thorns Archer, the second a Lightning Barbarian and the third Fire Wave/Fireball/Blink/Frost Shield/Blizzard for Mage. Their icons support the class examples, but do not establish numerical item effects beyond the source text. The Mage screenshot includes the survival-oriented setup described above.
