Iceflame Mage: Frost Assault, DoT Stacks and Boss Affixes

A dated Chinese-server Iceflame build covering 500-stack burns, Frost Assault amplification, equipment choices and boss-focused affixes.

Dated Chinese-server findings; global behavior and English names unverified.

Source: 邪神攻略站, October 07, 2026 at 18:18 as displayed in the saved page (timezone not stated). Original article. Edited for this site on October 12, 2026.

Scope: Dated Chinese-server observations and source-author recommendations, not independently tested here. Overseas-server behavior and official English names remain unverified. English names are provisional; Chinese identifiers are retained for matching.

What was tested, and what was only predicted?

On October 7, the author tested Iceflame (冰焰) with Thunder Lord (雷霆领主) and reported about one-half to two-thirds of the damage of their Cursed Spirit Fire Eye (咒灵火眼) setup using the Flame imprint. They expected the forthcoming Frost Assault (霜冻突袭) imprint to roughly double Iceflame’s damage and overtake Fire Eye. That was a forecast, not a completed comparison. “Tomorrow” in the source refers to the day after its publication, not today.

The saved Frost Assault tooltip says a Core Skill triggers an area pull and Piercing Frost (透骨寒冰): 1,200% Attack as ice damage over 3 seconds, with 50% increased damage taken from DoT and ice damage during the effect. Those two factors multiply when damage is both ice and DoT. The effect triggers at most once every 6 seconds. Thus the stated double amplification is 1.5 × 1.5 = 2.25, when both conditions apply; this does not establish a whole-build DPS multiplier.

Three damage-over-time components

The author reports ordinary Burn and Iceflame Burn reaching 500 stacks in a little over 60 seconds, while electric stacks stay at 80–99. The Cursed Spirit bonus can add stacks from Burn, Iceflame Burn and electric effects, but the summoned eel’s attacks do not trigger its exclusive three-extra-stack effect.

ComponentSource calculationScaling described by the author
Burn500 stacks → 2,500% per secondPanel Core Skill damage
Iceflame Burn500 stacks → 1,000% every 0.5 seconds, or 2,000% per secondCore Skill and Fireball damage
Eel-generated electric DoT99 × 30% = 2,970% per secondNo Basic/Core source-skill bonus in this setup

The source switches between the Chinese labels 触电 and 电泳 for that last calculation; it does not supply a separate complete formula for each. It says the skill that originates an electric effect determines its skill-damage scaling: a Basic Skill origin would use Basic Skill bonuses. All three DoTs are said to benefit from 1.8× Cursed Spirit DoT amplification and an imprint’s 1.5× DoT amplification; Iceflame Burn also meets the ice condition for another 1.5×.

Boss-focused affix plan

This is a boss/dummy setup: prioritize damage rather than displayed combat power or survival. “Three resistances” below follows the source’s resistance-slot wording.

SlotsAffixes in source orderEnhancement priority
Weapon / head / shouldersElemental damage; Core damage; critical chance; DoT; Fireball damage or haste; damage while healthySixth > Core > DoT
Chest / bracersMixed resistance; three resistances; regeneration per second; block value; Fire Wave haste; one Demon Contract and one Prosperity level rollSixth > fifth
Gloves / beltSame defensive first four; Gravity Field cooldown reduction; one Flash of Insight and one Control energy-recovery rollSixth > fifth
Pants / bootsSame defensive first four; one Demonflame Flower cooldown roll and one haste roll; free final affixFifth
Necklace / talisman / ringElemental damage; Core damage; critical chance; DoT; Hail cooldown reduction; damage reductionsFifth > Core > DoT

Offerings: DoT or critical damage first, then additional damage. The author targets 35% rolled cooldown reduction because of Spell Calling (唤法). For PvE such as Dark Energy Rifts, they suggest a Holy Shield belt and/or the “12 lightning/dark” resonance arrangement, while paying attention to displayed combat power. That is a situational adaptation, not proof that the boss setup has enough survival everywhere.

Build-sheet details and saved evidence

The build sheet names Fire Wave–Explosion (火焰波·爆破), Fireball–Iceflame (火球术·冰焰), Gravity Field–Domain (引力场·领域), Demonflame Flower–Electric Eel (魔焰花·电鳗), and Blizzard–Skyfire (冰雪·天火). Passives are Demon Contract, Elemental Resonance, Spell Calling and Prosperity. The four-piece set is Corrupting Shepherd (朽蚀牧师); its Fireball bonus is +80% and DoT bonus +80%, with a 600% six-hit Meteor effect, two Burn and two Chill stacks, at most once every 3 seconds.

Key items: Cursed Spirit weapon (咒灵), Void Calamity boots (虚空劫灾), Snake Flow belt (癫蛇诡谋), Scholar’s Resolve chest (博学者的本心), and Dispute’s Command bracers (纷争的号令). The three jewelry pieces form Elemental Ensemble (元素协奏): elemental effects produce ice/fire/lightning zones with separate effects. The main companion is Demon Egg (魔蛋), with Lilith/Bro and Cow King as reserves. The pictured imprint list is Frost Assault, Blizzard control, Fortification, Frenzy and Rainbow Drain, with lightning and flame resonance.

The sheet says Iceflame Burn ticks every 0.5 seconds at 2% Attack per stack, lasts 5 seconds and caps at 500 stacks; it cannot trigger additional hits, critically strike, be blocked or be dodged. Its Skyfire Burn lasts 10 seconds, ticks at 5% per stack per second and also caps at 500. These distinctions explain the two different 500-stack calculations above.
