What the source actually recommends
This September 21 report adapts the Warrior’s Phantom Assault (幻影突袭) idea to Mage Thunder Fist (雷拳). A player submitted a Prismatic Divine Might (棱镜神威) version using Spell Counter in PvP; they found it stronger than their ordinary Starpiercer Pyroblast in tower and Apocalypse Invasion PvE.
The author tested Cursed Spirit Pyroblast and still preferred it overall because Thunder Fist lagged behind on minor-enemy progress. They thought Thunder Fist killed bosses faster, but that is their inference rather than a controlled timing result. For PvE they suggested Starpiercer Eternal (贯星永恒) and Black Hole to improve pack clearing. The saved text says one of more than ten runs caught up on progress, then died to a boss basic attack without Holy Shield.
The build can be tried without an Eternal weapon. The author’s practical recommendation is: keep Cursed Spirit Pyroblast if available for that PvE context; otherwise consider Thunder Fist, and keep its PvP burst/Spell Counter role in mind. The claim that its three critical Phantom Assault hits outperform Iceflame is an author assessment, not a guaranteed matchup result. The two source demo videos were not saved; this page does not reproduce their footage.
Switch skills for the encounter
| Slot | PvE | PvP |
|---|---|---|
| Basic modifier | Explosion (爆破) | Scorching (灼热) |
| Control 1 | Black Hole (黑洞), to pull enemies into short-range fists | Blink–Substitute (闪现·替身) |
| Control 2 | Electrolysis (电解) | Molten Shield (熔火盾) |
| Ultimate modifier | Icy Cold (冰寒), for sustained energy gain | Meteor (陨星), for faster initial control |
| Main companion | Demon Egg in the sheet | Cow King, for immediate opening Phantom Assault |
The source contrasts Meteor’s immediate energy/control with Icy Cold’s sustained energy generation. An opening kill requires enough damage; it is not automatic.
Affix plan
The build focuses on Phantom Assault through Basic Skill damage, elemental damage, critical chance and critical damage. For equipment bases, inspect the first four affixes, especially regeneration and slow resistance; enhance fifth/sixth rolls while observing displayed combat power.
| Slots | Affixes | Enhancement order |
|---|---|---|
| Weapon / head / shoulders | Elemental; Basic damage; critical chance; critical damage; Lightning Fist damage or haste; healthy damage | Sixth > fifth |
| Chest / bracers | Mixed resistance; one of the three resistance types; regeneration; block; Fire Wave haste; Demon Contract / Prosperity | Sixth > fifth > regeneration; PvE one of each passive, Demon Contract optional in PvP |
| Gloves / belt | Same first four; Gravity Field cooldown, changed to Blink cooldown for PvP; Flash of Insight | Sixth > fifth > regeneration |
| Pants / boots | Same first four; Lightning Orb cooldown, changed to Frost Shield for PvP; Piercing Roar or Frost on Hit, changed to Spell Counter for PvP | Sixth > fifth > regeneration |
| Jewelry | Elemental; Basic; critical chance; critical damage; Hail cooldown; damage reductions | Sixth > fifth |
Offerings: critical damage, then additional damage; Thorns can raise displayed power. The source says rolled cooldown reduction should not exceed 35%, adding 15% Spell Calling and 10% Paragon in its calculation. Do not read that as a rule for every cooldown system or later patch.
Build-sheet details and saved evidence
The September 21 sheet names a four-piece War Guardian set (战争门卫): Core Skill damage +60%, critical damage +100% and a Lightning Orb hit effect applying a chain and Lightning Cage, with a three-second trigger interval. The sheet’s Phantom Assault tooltip describes three hits totaling 6,000% Attack, always critical, once every 6 seconds, with extra amplification tied to critical chance. This is an old dated tooltip: the later October 9 Lightning Blade article reports a Phantom Assault nerf, so do not assume those coefficients still apply.
The pictured PvE weapon is Starpiercer (贯星), PvP weapon Prismatic Divine Might. Items are Scholar’s Legacy bracers, Void Inversion gloves (虚空逆映), Void Zeal belt (虚空热诚), Dreamflame Discipline boots (梦噬的规规), Prismatic Force necklace (镜像武势), Galloping Prayer talisman and Chilling Judgment ring. Passives are Demon Contract, Elemental Resonance, Prosperity and Spell Calling. Imprints: Phantom Assault, Blizzard, Fortification, Frenzy, Rainbow Drain. Resonances: lightning and dark; Demon Egg main for PvE, Cow King main for PvP, with Lilith/Bro reserve.
